Work + T09 + Food!

Work was madness on Friday. I literally worked non-stop from 7am-9pm (except a 20min lunch break in between), and I nearly collapse at the end of my workshop. Stress is now building up as we were briefed the expectations for my Certificate in Autism :( Its the first time I'm doing such work/study kind of thing. I hope I can make it!

After work Puggy picked me up and we went to have Cafe Cartel 50% off snacks. Had mushroom soup + coffee :D Satisfying. Then I stayed over at Puggy's and we had Dome breakfast @ Paragon the next morning. Their food and service is good! Will visit again.

After Dome we went home to zzz somemore, and then I went home to slack before meeting my T09 pals for gathering @ Clarke Quay. Sebast is so kind to send me there cos i spotted his car at his cousin's place, which is very near Puggy's house. We had drinks @ Cafe Iguana.

The photos turn out really nice :D

And so lucky. In 1 out of probably 100 times, the person on the street who helped us take this photo is a photographer! Wah he took my DSLR and turn the dial rather quickly, changed some settings and tada! I didnt even need to adjust the lighting for this one :)
After we wave goodbye to Phie Qing and Celest, we met Jo afew steps down the road! She was with her primary school friends. Its their first time gathering after soooo many years. Reminds me of mine~ Im glad we've been in touch all the while.
Sebast fetched me all the way home again. So paiseh cos he stay in Bedok! Lol. Anyway I concussed at 3am after editing and uploading the photos. Next morning I woke up early again to prepare for good lunch @ Puggy's house. So rare you get a photo of me in action in the kitchen!

His mum bought the kobe beef from Cold Storage. That piece cost like $30 or so. And it definitely doesnt taste as good as the one we had in Japan - which was $100 that size. But still, its good lor hahaha! And I love the mushroom sauce!
Happy Puggy after a satisfying lunch
After lunch we went to Marina Sq and Suntec. Manage to catch 2 huge scrump dolls from the arcade with $19 :D More added on to my collection. I should really take some pictures nex time when I am free.

Sometime this week i'll blog about my upcoming Japan trip in August - if I have time. Oh I'm so having monday blues. Looking forward to my short break!

East Point + Changi Airport

We initially planned only to go changi airport for dinner but since East Point is nearby we decide to take a look. The directory online shows a number of interesting shops anyway. To our horror, that place is super run down and boring. The shops are just a bar above those you'll find in wet markets. And parking there for 1hr+ in their ulu carpark cost us $3+....
Then there is this Miss Singapore World event going on. The girls are -_____-" Then to make it worse, there are ah peks lined up on the 2nd floor to look down at their cleavage. I thought probably i should listen to their introduction first before giving them the death sentence, but the sound system is total flop we cant hear a single thing the girls are saying, so we left. -____-"
I think East Point will soon close down with Tampines next to it being so happening. Now I found a reason for the crowd there. Simei is totally cannot make it! I cant imagine Xiao Zhu performed there the last time he came. He must have realised how neighbourly it is compared to Bugis and PS. hahaha.

Had early dinner @ Popeyes in Terminal 3. I still prefer the one at Terminal 1.

Gluttons : Had Ya Kun after Popeyes.
Home Sweet Home
Today we're doing nothing but slack in Puggy's house.
Im already having Monday blues....

Guilt!

Hurray, blogger error for photo upload is resolved :)
Ok I'll like to confess. I joined Show's Fan Club... *gasp* Puggy nearly fainted. But well, I seriously join just so that I can take a photo with him. I am still very sane. Trust me. Haha.
I hope other than the birthday call from him, i'll also get another call from him from a lucky draw they're holding. But they are so profit driven that I am certain I wont buy any of the limited goodies. And I just emailed to ask whether I can don't buy the couple tee to take photo with him. I'll wear the Stage shirt I bought instead. Collaboration between Stage and Macdonald Charity :D
All proceeds goes to the charity. I still like the classic diamond design. Buying something I like, i'll wear and contributing to charity makes me feel good hahaha. (Excuses right...)

And also to share the random stuff I bought online. I notice the buying splurge come in waves. Its like a certain week you just have so many stuff to buy, followed by a month - no matter how you shop, even at websites without sprees, you also can't find anything worth buying.
The mickey mouse, snow white and tinkerbell tees are in preparation to wear at Disneyland if I am able to visit in August. :) The VS bikini, i initially ordered the bottom, they shipped the top - to my horror. Spree organiser helped me haunt them and they finally agreed to ship me the bottom free! So I get the whole set at the price of just the bottom.. Not bad. hee~
ASOS gave me 10pounds free again this year for my bday. I bought the shiny leggings to wear to my sister's ROM in Oct. Then because I can only use the discount with min. purchase of 50pounds, I bought that halter floral top to match the leggings. Hopefully they fit! :D

Nothing is expensive from all the spree loots above. I am only guilty about the Stage tee and joining the fan club :X I'll just comfort myself that they are birthday gifts for myself. Whats a birthday without presents anyway :D :D :D

Happy 23rd to me :)

My birthday this long weekend! :D We started the day watching Ice Age. Hilarious show! Still don't disappoint after so many sequels

Didnt manage to get my free ticket from GV though. Now we're contemplating to watch which movie one more time - Transformers / Ice Age...?

After movie we drove to Jurong Hill Top Teppanyaki for dinner!

And on the way I was obsessed taking pictures of the beautiful sky

Finally arrived at Hilltop :D So hungry

Took a short walk around the place first before going in

Dinner! Having Hill top Teppanyaki is like a birthday ritual. Still remember Puggy's birthday few years ago was also celebrated here with his family. Not cheap, but definitely satisfying :D

The huge bowl of garlic, soft shell crab, beef, garlic rice and salmon!

After dinner we went over to the dessert corner to have green tea ice cream, mango pudding and coffee. I nearly forget to take a photo of scrump.

The night view of Jurong Island from hilltop

Look like Tokyo tower

Then we went to my house to grab stuff to stayover at Puggy's! He prepared a cake for me at home and that's my birthday gift! He'll be sponsoring me something extravagant too hahaha :D

The next morning we woke up at 7.30am to have breakfast at Simply Bread near Sixth Avenue. I cant believe i woke up so early for breakfast!! But food is not bad and apparently this place targets ang mo + asian mix families...So I see alot of cute mix blood babies!

After Simply bread, we shopped at Cold Storage.
This crate of broccoli reminds us of a line in Ice Age
"...and the broccoli becomes a vegetable..." Hahaha

Thats all for my birthday celebration. Very simple but yet I am blessed to be celebrating it with someone I love and someone who put in effort to make it a simple yet something-which-i'll-like affair :D Thanks dear! And also thanks to all my friends who remembered my birthday!

Sunday: Puggy had a haircut, and after which we went to shop at Tampines 1. The parking was crazy. I think we wont go there again in the near future. But we do love the 小霸王 fried chicken and the fact that Puggy bought me a scrump keys-holder there :)

I was crazy last week for completing 2 layouts over the weekdays

And blogger photo upload encountering an error, i was crazy to upload the photos for this post manually lol. I hope my unpaid leave gets approved asap!!!!

Transformers + Cramps -.-

Saturday - Watched Transformers 2 @ Great World City with Puggy's bro and gf. The whole first part of the movie was spoilt by my severe menstrual cramp which lasted till like today. The show's pretty overwhelmed with metal and lots of bombing. hurhur.

Today we went to PS to buy 2 scrumps from the blog owner. Then we had Ah Wang as snack and Carls' Junior for dinner. A pretty slack day i would say. Cos we're both very tired - from what - we don't know.

Love this dress I bought from blogshop but its too short. Need mama to lengthen it for me!
I gained 0.5kg.

And tomorrow's gonna be soooooo chaotic I don't even dare to think about it.
Wish me luck. :(

Clarke Quay + Picnic @ Sentosa

Come to think of it, this weekend quite happening :D

On Saturday, Puggy and I drove to Clarke Quay with 2 objectives
Objective 1: To go to nearby chinatown Fook Hai Building (damn ulu) to get his helicopter transmitter. Supposedly alot of remote heli hobby shops there. But the moment we enter, the building totally screams "Haunted". I feel really proud to walk to and fro from Central.
After leaving Puggy's toy in the car, we shopped around Central without buying anything, as the cute t-shirt i spotted in a shop ridiculously priced $79.90. But we snacked before dinner :)
Objective 2: To eat 肉骨茶 at this shop next to Fishermen's Wharf! To satisfy my craving! :D
Its supposedly damn good. Look at the glee on my face.
But end up we just think its nice. But not veryyy nice. Luckily only shared 1 big bowl.
After dinner, we walked to the river to stone and take pictures.

Did not wait for the sky to turn dark. Left the place pretty early. Back to the house to open up his toy. Look at him - totally like a little boy.
Sunday - Picnic with Puggy's family @ Sentosa.
We chose Tanjong beach cos its the least crowded. Wise choice.

Arrive at 8+am and manage to get a nice spot!
The food is ridiculously good!!!! Very picnic style, i like!
Meet Sherry -- Puggy's cousin's dog --- A chihuahua in disguise.
Meet Scrump on Vollyball!
My 阳光男孩! hahaha

After some vollyball and slacking we took a tram to Palawan Beach

Wanted to buy some ice cream back, then we see dark clouds :S
Forego ice cream to rush back. Luckily only afew drops of rainwater and the sun comes back!

Was a nice day well spent :)
Precisely a weekend enjoyed, it flew by and its monday again tomorrow!
Argh.

Video Games Live Concert

Planned to meet up with my SIM pals 2 wks back but few days ago my sister said she got some free tickets to the Video Games Live concert and ask if im interested. At first I dont even know what was that, but it is an orchestra which will play those famous tunes from video games pass to present. Since the rest all don't mind watching, we all went tog!

Met Jacq, Karen and Weixiong at Suntec Food Republic foodcourt first for dinner. The food is expensive and gross. Even my favourite fried hokkien mee is a disappointment! :(
Took some pictures before we left on taxi to Kallang Indoor Stadium

Traffic jam + peak hour = High taxi fare
But we arrived and met Huda at North Entrance
My sisters went too, and they were sitting behind 5 of us
And soon the concert started!
Prior to the concert they actually have this pre-show festival which involves a cosplay competition. And there is this ridiculous guy who dressed up at PATAPON! I thought I heard wrongly because of the emcee's slang but no it IS Patapon. Wondering how anyone can dress up as something that is not exactly "human". And from afar i saw... See the red arrow pointing at it?

They played many familiar tunes such as Tetris and Sonic!

Then they invited an audience up to play game of Space Invaders while the orchestra becomes his "music". If he clears everything within 2min he get a console consisting of 5000 classic games
This girl came out to sing for some game which i forgot what's the name.. She is GOOD.
Then this guy was introduced as someone famous after he post his video of himself playing Mario tune on youtube which attracted over millions of views. He later even blindfolded himself to play Mario and Tetris tunes. Jacqueline (being a piano teacher herself) said he is very good!
Found his performance from yesterday on youtube

This's the medley he play.

Thanks to Puggy's obsession for some games, I am not that lost throughout the whole concert.
I know game songs like Kingdom Hearts and Zelda and Final Fantasy :) Puggy always repeat the songs on Youtube and forced make me to listen to it over and over again.

Then there was this Guitar Hero competition on the spot for the 1st placing. Song they played is not very fascinating or as fast as I thought it'ld be leh....You should check out the video below...
I cant find the exact one i want to show. Its supposedly this man who look like Jesus (no offence) i suspect he dint cut hair for 3 whole months just to play guitar hero. Anyway here's the song. Its on expert mode and is very nice :) Puggy nearly went crazy practising it. But he did manage to finish the whole thing once out of say....50 times. And thats not even on expert mode. Its hard mode cos he said expert is unplayable. LOL. Whereas for me i dare not even attempt cos i've difficulty to even spread my fingers to reach the 5th note HAHAHA.

The highlight comes at around 4.02 onwards...Woohoo~~~
But I think this person plays on cheat mode la. Cant possibly hit 2000 combo with this song

Nobody will bring light sticks cos this is not exactly those pop/rock concerts. So he asked us to all use our hp or game consoles to wave in the air...lol
After the concert, Huda drove us to Kallang mac for supper in her cute little car! I want!
And after snacking, we were all feeling old, tired and sleepy. Notice the difference between this photo taken at 12.20am and the earlier photo taken at 7.20pm? hurhurhur. 老了....
Overall the concert is not as bad as it seems. Its not that boring afterall too cos when you hear a familiar tune you'll be all be excited. :) Enjoyed the night with you all!

Scrapping

Too lazy to think of a better title lol. I think i've been very productive during this 2 wks break. Completed 5 alphas, 1 layout and 1 tag. :)

This "SNG" is to be placed on my workdesk.

I bought a layout stand from Daiso to display layouts at my workdesk too. This shall be the 1st!
And that layout is inspired by the bottom left hand corner layout you see. Prima website really display nice works. I've been scrapping for about 2 years but yet I can do nothing like these below. They are the experts! So inspiring.
And what you see below is done by my scrap idol - Ingvild Bolme. Her work is unlike other scrappers, i can easily tell how they achieve that kind of effect or what products they use. Her works.....are so astounding that I dun even noe how she did it.
Sidetrack a little, yesterday's Suki Sushi is not satisfying at all. :( And the other day i was watching TV i forgot which program introduced Dinnerinthesky.com. Check this out. You'll love to experience this if you're not afraid of heights. Its available in most of the countries far away from us. -_-"
Picture shown is Las Vegas....oooohh~~~ Wait for me here i come!

P.S: There goes my 2 wks hols...Tomorrow im going back to sch for orientation. Let's hope its rather slack. Then i'll hope for a happening weekend. And admin work for last wk of holidays will begin. Gosh im so not looking foward :(

With girls @ Marina Sq

Met Xs and Bird at Marina Sq yesterday for shopping and catching up. We had Changing Appetites for dinner. They charged us for 2 set meals instead of 3 cos Bird arrive later and I suppose they forget to add her meal into the bill. In the end each of us paid $10 only. hurhur.
Scrump! I bring it along with me everywhere. Noticed I forget to take photo of it at HoRt Park but I doubt it wants to come out of the comfort of my bag also. Look at how it matches the color of the tissue box!
Someone murdered it while i was in the toilet. Murderers even got the cheek to take photos of their criminal acts....变态! Luckily scrump did not die.
After dinner and shopping Xs suggest we can camwhore at the foodcourt
Because of the nice view! :)

Nice photo but overexposed! :(

Its nice to meet up once in awhile huh :D
Tonight im satisfying my craving for Suki Sushi!!! Then I shall bug Puggy to eat Bak Kut Teh with me at Clarke Quay one day.

Mystery of HoRt Park

Sunday - Bugged Puggy to go Hort Park with me to take photo despite the ultra sunny weather.

Trip started out fine, we found the place easily and started our journey from the main Hort Park gate. First we saw this very nice....pond...

Then this endless....pond....

But next thing we know we are heading towards butterfly garden. I am actually looking for a wavy bridge with parquet flooring but am unsure what it's called.

We actually had no idea where we're heading and the signs sucks!
Somehow, we ended up at a forest walk but by then alr very shag
Puggy walked very fast to help me recce the place. we walked up this winding trail...
...and then this crazy high flight of stairs

To arrive at canopy walk. But by now, you look at my face...it screams "I don't want to walk anymore!" hahaha
The view from above which is....not very fascinating
Thats the long winding trail we came up from
At the end of the canopy walk, we come to nothing but another long winding downslope which i chose to take instead of walking back by that crazy route we alr took. Reminded me of our attempt of tree-top-walk-gone-wrong during the thunderstorm at MacRitchie. We seem to be lost again....because Puggy listened to me :X
After alot of turning and walking and walking and turning we finally reached the main road aka civilisation and we saw this signboard. What the hell is "Reflections At Bukit Chandu"?! We were at Hort Park!!! Imagine how far we walked....
We found Caltex the saviour next to that stupid sign and brought 2 bottles of drinks.
It is not fun to be lost in such attire, without towel/water!
Then we decided to be wise and take cab back to Hort Park for our car! LOL
The uncle nearly made me faint when he duno what is Hort park. Luckily Puggy led the way.
We paid $3.60 and arrive at Hort Park safely. Then we ventured to the other side because this bridge look more like what i was looking for...
I think we got it. Puggy cheered...lol.

But diao no, after i tell him the bridge is very big and is concrete. He sian halfway and say he's not gonna continue...lol. So we ended this whatever-walk-you-call-it thingy and walk back to our car...
By then I was crazy from the walk already.
"我疯了" haha
And Puggy ask me to hug the car when we saw it....LOL.
We blast the aircon in the car and drove to Vivo for more aircon and dinner @ SuperDog.
We look so shag that a pushcart promoter selling hair styling product approached me to ask "Miss, how do you style your hair?". There goes my beautiful hair i spent half an hour blowing. -_-" Crap. Puggy still ask me to reply "I took a walk in Hort Park to get this".

By the way my body is hot from the heat absorbed today.
I tink i got sunburnt -____-"

Anyway this is the stupid bridge im talking about. After some research I now know its called Henderson Waves....And you may access from Mt Faber. BUT can also go from Hort Park.
Mystery being WHERE THE HELL IS THIS?!?!?! Argh...
We shall attempt to go again. But probably after i prove to Puggy i know where it is..lol.
